Waltz

Viennese Waltz

Cha Cha Cha

Rumba
The Cuban Rumba is, without doubt, the most popular dance among the majority of Latin dancers. The principles upon which the dance is based are simple, but the degree of difficulty may take many years to perfect. However, it is a relatively simple dance for beginners to learn and to achieve a reasonable degree of success quickly. To dance a good Rumba is the ambition of serious and dedicated Latin dancers.
Samba
Samba originated from Brazil and is an integral part of the culture of the Brazilians. It is the music of the people. The carnival mood of the Samba has also fired up the hearts of the Brazilians. Every year, for five days and five nights in February, Rio de Janeiro is carnival time.
Jive
Jive reached the ballroom and dance schools in a different style by the 1950s. Jive gradually emerged as the generic term that covered Lindy–Hop , Jitterbug and Boogie-Woogie. Jive has a ‘chopper’ feel and the beat is heavier.
Paso Doble
Paso Doble means ‘two-step’. In this dance, the man represents the ‘matador’ and the lady his ‘cape’ in the drama of a Spanish bullfight. It not only inspires passion in France & Spain but throughout the world.
Salsa
In 1928, Ignacio Pineiro used the phrase "Echale Salsita!". This expression became commonplace 50 years later. "Echale Salsita" means 'spice it up' and was later simplified to just 'Salsa'. It is a mixture of Latino music son, cha cha cha, pachanga, rumba, mambo and so on. The Afro-Caribbean music to Salsa is unmistakable.
Argentine Tango
Argentine Tango is a passionate, sensual and tantalizing dance. Although it is a melancholy dance, Argentine Tango captures all the moods of passion, sensuality and tantalization. From the back streets, bars and brothels of Buenos Aires, Argentine Tango rose from its humble beginnings and is now dazzling the world with its intricate footwork of Ochos, Giros, Ganchos, etc.
Mambo
There is a similarity between the Mambo, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha and Salsa. This springs from the fact that the dances all originated from the same Cuba source. The speed of the music is quicker and the mood playful and teasing.
Merengue
Merengue is one of the most popular Latin-Amercian dances. It originated from the Dominican Republic and the mood reflects the holiday atmosphere and the rhythm and steps are simple. It is characterized by its pumping action.
Lambada
In 1987, a new variant of the samba burst into the world dance scene, and is known as the Lambada. Couples dance with close contact, and took Europe by storm. The catchy music and lyrics were made popular by the group KAOMA, and the dance became a world hit.
